Dean and Erica wanted something special to celebrate and remember little Charlotte’s first birthday- pictures! What better way to remind them of exactly what she looked like, acted like, and all the little details. Charlotte was 11 months at the time of her Wesley Chapel first birthday photo session. We met at Colonial Grand at Seven Oaks on an overcast day. She wasn’t sure about me at first, but loved walking around barefoot, playing with the little pumpkins mom brought along, and had the cutest facial expressions!
The fun
has just
begun.
Look out,
I’m turning 1.
Were you worried about any parts of the session beforehand? If so, what were the worries? I worried that she might not sit still or that it might be tough to hold her attention long enough to get a good smile.
Tell me about your favorite parts of our session, or why you enjoyed the session. I enjoyed that we were able to shoot different angles and different locations including the bridge and winding road. This added variety and made each picture unique. Charlotte enjoyed exploring the area and playing with the props.
Tell me about the outfit Charlotte wore to the shoot (where you bought it, why you chose it, etc). We wanted a “fall” outfit that would not be too hot in the Florida weather. We got it from Target! We chose not to include the shoes we bought because she tries to take them off.
What are some words of wisdom you have for others preparing for a session? Don’t worry too much about reactions and trying to force a pose or smile. We were able to be in the moment with Charlotte and the pictures turned out great.
