Ashlyn contacted me for Tampa birth photography of her second and final pregnancy. I’m so excited to share the birth story of her baby girl- Claire- who was born on October 23, 2023 at St Joseph Women’s Hospital.
For me, the day started when I got a text from Ashlyn that morning letting me know she was checked in again 10 minutes later when they started the pitocin. About an hour-and-a-half later they broke her water, and she was at 3cm. Shortly after I decided to go ahead and make my way to the hospital. We knew it was baby day and I wanted to be sure I was near and not rushing to get there.
As you can see, I was there from beginning to end- when their precious bun entered the world.
Ashlyn wanted to capture pure, raw imagery that is like nothing else- the feeling of love she knew she would feel in that moment. She wanted to get dad cutting the cord and those moments when the three of them were all together. She also wanted to have some of big brother Aston’s face when he met his baby sister and their initial interactions… I’m happy to say I was able to capture all of that for her, and more. This is the magic of Tampa birth photography.

of all things- wonder, hope,
a dream of possibilities.
I must say this was a truly special and beautiful day. From Mom’s pushing to Dad’s support to new baby Claire taking her first breath, and then meeting her big brother Aston- there was never a shortage of love in that hospital room.
Congratulations again on your gorgeous family. Here’s to an incredible life together!
What Ashlyn had to say about her birth session: “I’ve been in a total fog. And I don’t know how you ever managed twins, but I wanted to tell you I’m in love with the pictures. The slideshow brings me to tears every time I watch.”
