I’ve been attending more networking meetings & events lately, meeting so many wonderful people to network, work and partner with. I’ve collected so many business cards and I was struggling with a way to keep them organized and all in one place. As organized a person as I try to be, this was driving me INSANE. Wendy writes: I am a 53-year-old married woman reinventing herself from a 26 year commercial real estate career in Orlando, FL to an entrepreneur and inventor. I have two grown children and am happily married for 20 years now. I strive to find products that can help women save in style!
Wendy’s business journey…
I first developed the idea in 2007, and every time I used it women would be very interested and wanted one of their own. In 2008, I realized Card Cubby was a really good idea and I patented it. After the Florida housing crash, my husband and I were laid off, so we put all of our savings into Card Cubby in 2009, and now just three years later it is a million-dollar business.

What inspires you and your work:
I love to provide a quality product that helps people organize and save money! I love the notes I get from women telling me how our products have made their lives a bit easier, it really inspires me.
Tell us about your favorite item you make:
I love the Card Cubby! I use it on a daily basis to keep all of my daily essentials from becoming a tangled mess.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
The Card Cubby business is still in its infancy so I am normally always working—the benefits of being an entrepreneur, strong and driven woman.

What did you want to be when you were 12 years old (did you always want to be doing what you are now, or something different)?
I always wanted stability in my career – whether it was serving tables, working in the commercial real estate business or owning my own company.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Move fast to get more done!
What’s something you want to do before you die?
While I enjoy designing and creating products women love, I’d love to have some time to relax and enjoy my family.
I seriously love my card cubby. I’m not sure how I survived without it. I had business cards all over my purse, house, in my calendar, in my car- now I have them all organized in one place! It is absolutely amazing. Wendy describes it as her own mini filing cabinet. It is that and so much more!
This is my red croc card cubby, but there are SO many stylish ones to choose from!
I love that it is small enough to throw in my purse/bag, but not so small that it gets lost in there. It’s nice & sturdy so it doesn’t get crushed. It’s easy to wipe down & clean (important when there are little hands around!). There’s also a slip in sleeve on the outside where you could put your own business card or is a perfect spot for your id!
There’s a small zippered pocket on the inside, perfect for cash or change. It comes with sturdy alphabetical cards that fit nicely inside and help to keep everything organized.
I have close to 25 business cards, a couple brochures, a note and my own business cards in here and still have lots of room left!
