KFP #frontstepsproject COVID-19
Back in March, when the world started coming to a standstill because of COVID-19, a photographer from Boston started a new movement called #thefrontstepsproject. The goal: ‘To highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at the grocery store, coffee shop, on the train, or at the gym’. Hundreds of photographers from around the world joined the movement, raising money for local organizations and non-profits.
I decided to join as well and offer it to my community. This is a unique time, with everyone spending so much more time at home with their families. The current pandemic has certainly reminded us all of the importance of family and love and joy, and that should all be documented!
“With so many feeling isolated or disconnected from friends, family and the rest of the world these days, something as simple as a happy photograph can help keep us going.”

The world needs more kindness, especially now! ‘We may be temporarily separated, but we are always united’
Here are some of the wonderful families, my neighbors, of Union Park! Thank you for letting me bring just a little bit of ‘normal’ and ‘happy’ during this crazy time.
In this quarantine, we as a family learnt that – “HOPE is the only thing stronger than Fear! #StayHomeFor us – “It was all about finding the “CALM” in the Chaos!!
“there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day. Quarantine 2020”
#2020Covid-19 Quarantine. A forced reset for our unit of 5. A time to slow down when life always has us on the go. Quality moments between sisters. One on one time for my love and I. Although the quarantine has brought upon high anxiety for obvious reasons, it has also been an amazing bonding period for our family of 5. #reset #slowdown #smelltheroses #feelinglucky
“we are living our adventure”

Stormy MercadoThank you for capturing our family and all the beautiful UP families during this time of chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. As we look back and remember what life was like during the Coronavirus outbreak, we will have these photos to remind us of the hope we had during this time and we will cherish moments like this for a lifetime!
