In-Home Maternity Session | Most Precious Moments

Christina and Byron chose an in-home maternity session- it was more personal and intimate to Christina to have her maternity photos in their house in the nursery they put together themselves for their baby. Christina wanted to get pictures of baby Olivia in her belly in her nursery that they personally designed themselves and were so proud and excited about before Olivia entered the world.

Christina was 34 weeks pregnant when she had her maternity session. She wanted simple, natural, neutral colors. Christina wanted a pretty dress that still showed her pregnant belly and wanted to ensure the dress didn’t clash with the colors of the nursery. She found her dress on Amazon! We also took photos in cute mom jeans and a sports bra, as well as a chiffon maternity dress from Amazon. The chiffon maternity dress was a bit out of her comfort zone, and she wasn’t sure if she was going to want to wear it for pictures, but she doesn’t regret it at all. She loved her pregnant belly and loved every bit of her pregnancy journey so having the opportunity to show off the belly was definitely a must that she would highly recommend doing even if it’s out of your comfort zone!

Were you worried about any parts of the session beforehand? If so, what were the worries?
I wouldn’t say I was worried because I completely trusted Kristine’s work and talent, but any time I have a photoshoot I think about the posing aspect of the photoshoot. I feel like I’m not good at that part, but Kristine is FANTASTIC and KNOWS WHAT SHE’S DOING! Listen to her, trust her, the images and poses come out exactly as they should to reflect exactly what you are looking for!

Just the way Kristine works with you behind the camera to ensure you feel comfortable and get all the shots you’d expect the way you’d expect them. I couldn’t be happier with the result!

What are some words of wisdom you would give to other expecting mothers for their session?
Bask in the beauty of your belly and trust Kristine to do what she does best. Get your hair and makeup done for the shoot, wear that outfit that you feel is out of your comfort zone, show off that belly because it’s an absolutely beautiful thing what our bodies do and soon your little baby will be earthside and no longer in your belly!
